Our story

Born at first light

Arunachal Pradesh is the land of the dawn-lit mountains. Every morning, India's first sunrise touches our peaks before anywhere else. NEbots was founded here with a simple belief: the region that sees the future first should build it first.

The name

NEbots

NE = North East

bots = the robots our students build

Together, the name plants a flag: advanced technology education, made at home in the North East, not imported into it. NEbots is the first STEM & STEAM education company founded by local entrepreneurs from Arunachal Pradesh.

Vision

To change the education system by making students learn everything practically, replacing rote memorisation with building, flying, coding and creating.

Mission

Deliver hands-on courses in Robotics, AI, Drone Technology, Python Programming and 3D Designing to students, and Teacher Training that multiplies this practical method across schools, expanding into every major city of the seven North-Eastern states.

What steers us

Five traits behind every class we run

  • Pioneering

First of its kind. NEbots arrived before everyone else, and acts like it.

  • Hands-on

Real tools, real builds. Hands, wires, propellers and screens, never abstract theory.

  • Rooted

Proudly of Arunachal and the North East. Local motifs, local faces, local pride.

  • Future-facing

Our language borrows from circuits and interfaces, not chalkboards.

  • Warm & approachable

Kids and parents feel invited, never intimidated. Plain language, friendly mentors.

Children who build things today will build the region tomorrow.

Who we are

Two founders, one dream

NEbots was started by two young entrepreneurs from Arunachal Pradesh who sat in the same classrooms your children sit in, and memorised the same textbooks. Instead of taking their skills to the metros, they built the region's first homegrown STEM company at home.

Nikh Khopi, co-founder of NEbots

Nikh Khopi

Co-founder · Arunachal Pradesh

Nikh grew up learning the way nearly every student in the region does: from a textbook, for an exam, with the building left out. He started NEbots so the next generation learns the opposite way, by wiring real circuits, writing real code and fixing real robots with their own hands.

Dani Nobin, co-founder of NEbots

Dani Nobin

Co-founder · Arunachal Pradesh

Dani is driven by a single conviction: that a student in Itanagar should have exactly the same shot at building the future as a student in Bengaluru. NEbots exists to close that gap at home, so no young person in the North East has to leave the region to find a hands-on, world-class STEM education.

Our team

The people behind the builds

Mentors, makers and instructors who run the classes, set up the labs and keep every student building.

Rakshit Vij, Program Director at NEbots

Rakshit Vij

Program Director

Not one of these districts lacked ability. All of them lacked opportunity.

Rakshit has spent over a decade in classrooms, the last five years inside India's edtech industry, as a STEM trainer, a master trainer, Research Director at Wunderkastan, and Manager of Lab Setup and Teacher Training at Rancho Labs, IIT Delhi. He has run robotics and AI workshops everywhere from IIT Delhi to Scindia Girls' School, Gwalior. The turning point came during 45 days spent teaching AI and robotics across six districts of Arunachal Pradesh with the state government's IT department. The students there were as quick and as fearless as any he had taught in a metro. What they didn't have was the lab, the trained teacher, and a curriculum built for their classroom instead of exported to it. At NEbots he designs the learning pathways, trains the teachers who deliver them, and sets up the labs they run on, with one aim: that a child in the North East learns technology by building it, not by memorising it.

Prashant Sharma, Growth Manager at NEbots

Prashant Sharma

Growth Manager

Building the program is one problem. Making sure people know it exists is mine.

Prashant started his career at Bharti Airtel selling SIM cards at the counter, and worked his way up to running training for teams inside one of India's largest telecom companies, designing modules, delivering classroom and virtual sessions, auditing calls, and building the advisors who carried the brand to customers. For the Rajasthan circle he built the plans and trained the trainers themselves, measured on one thing: whether conversion and growth actually moved. Along the way he taught himself frontend and backend development, so he can build what he plans. That mix of selling, teaching and building is what he brings to NEbots. He believes a student in the North East should get exactly what a student in a metro gets: the same lab, the same curriculum, the same technology in their hands, at the same time, not years later. His job is to make sure schools, parents and governments across all seven states know NEbots exists and understand what it does. He is content to do it the way he learned: one conversation, one school at a time.

We're growing. Apply to join us and help build the future in the East.

The road ahead

Seven states. One mission.

NEbots is expanding city by city across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura, bringing labs, kits and trained teachers to every major town in the North East.
